Develop PHP based Flex applications

Your Flex application can retrieve data from a PHP backend using web services, including SOAP and REST based web services. You can also transfer objects and other data types directly from PHP to Flex, and vice versa, over AMF. There are several open source AMF solutions available, including AMFPHP, SabreAMF and WebORB for PHP from the Midnight Coders.

Flex and Drupal

Drupal is a popular open source content management platform for PHP developers. This tutorial shows you how to get started building a Flex front end to a Drupal powered PHP backend. Scott Nelson has created two modules to allow Flex and Drupal to talk to each other: the Services module and the AMFPHP module. There is also a Services group and a good tutorial showing you how to get started with Drupal and Flex.
